Restaurant & Catering Australia Lifetime Achiever Program The Restaurant and Catering Industry Association’s Lifetime Achiever Award for 2006 was presented to Miss Maud at Parliament House, Canberra. The Lifetime Achiever Programme aims to recognize the outstanding achievements and efforts of industry members who have dedicated much of their lives to the restaurant and catering industry in their state and/or nationally. So far, only four other West Australians have ever received this Lifetime Achiever Honour from the RCA

With all things Swedish, Miss Maud took Perth by storm. Two years later ready for her second tour de force introduced to Perth the very first Smorgasbord Restaurant – then unheard of in Perth. People flocked to sample Miss Maud’s lavish Swedish hospitality. From these warm and exciting beginnings, a hospitality empire evolved. Today, the Miss Maud Hospitality Group in Perth comprises of 17 Pastry Houses located in major Shopping Centres, a Restaurant and Boutique Hotel in the heart of Perth City and a 24hour Bakehouse operation. One of Western Australia’s largest employers, Maud has introduced unique training systems to International Best Practice standards and enhanced the management skills, career paths and skills of people working in the demanding field of hospitality. Miss Maud is one of the State’s largest contributors to skills development and opportunities to more than 400 employees. Maud’s recipe for hospitality has been firmly woven into the fabric of Western Australia. Three generations of Western Australians, interstate and overseas visitors, continue to enjoy the warm and rich smorgasbord of Miss Maud Swedish hospitality.
