For me, working at Miss Maud has always been like being part of a really big family. It’s one of the reasons why I have worked for Miss Maud for 13 years, another being I have had a very enjoyable, interesting and varied journey along the way…
I started working at Miss Maud when I was 16 years old as a casual waitperson at our Carillon City store.
I ended up becoming a Store Manager for a couple of years, which was a fantastic challenge, before I approached my Area Manager and expressed an interest in progressing my career further.
I am now the “Store Trainer” for all the Miss Maud Pastry Houses. I am responsible for training our Management team, Store Merchandising, conducting Store Audits, coming up with new Menu items and am even involved in some planning of store renovations. My position is greatly varied, which is just the way I like it!
I never thought my career would be in hospitality, it just happened that through the opportunities I was given at Miss Maud this has become my “niche”. I am lucky to be able to say that I love my job and the people I work with.
