Citizen Of The Year 2008
The 2008 Western Australian Citizen of the Year Youth Arts Award is sponsored by Miss Maud Hospitality Group in partnership with Edith Cowan University and WA Opera. Mikael Edmiston from the Miss Maud Group, WA Opera CEO Craig Whitehead and Edith Cowan University Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Finlay-Jones joined the Governor on the stage to present the Youth Arts Award to Aimee Johns.

The Governor of Western Australia Dr Ken Michael presented the Western Australian Citizen of the Year Youth Arts Award to 25-year-old Aimee Johns at a gala awards presentation dinner in the Grand Ballroom at Burswood Entertainment Complex.

Aimee Johns is a talented artist and successful businesswoman, with a passionate interest and commitment to foster the growth and development of creative industries in Western Australia, particularly within the younger generation
